The Trust is a local charity founded to provide information, support and advice to individuals and their carers who have been affected by the condition of Subarachnoid Haemorrhage (SAH). The Trust provides up to date information about the diagnosis and causes of Subarachnoid Haemorrhage. In liaison with other statutory and voluntary organizations the Trust aims to profile the SAH condition to the public. The Trust is strongly in favor of supporting family members and carers as they are often the key support for individuals who have suffered a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage. SAH has been described as "the hidden illness" because of its subtle disabling effects. In a support group, issues like this can be discussed and addressed and a valuable exchange of ideas and experiences can be shared within a support group environment. The support group forum can be an aid to the individuals on their route to recovery. Currently the Trust holds regular support group meetings at a Coventry city center venue. |
